We search  for an return flight from Sydney to Manila.

Departing 17. February 2012 and returning 04 March 2012 (on or about this date)

Search was conducted on 31st January 2012 from 9-10 am

Fare quote from traditional travel agent (Phil Travel Service) was obtained by phone.

Flight centres initial quote was at first somewhat lower but as client proceeds with the booking Flight centre added first a handling fee of $ 27.– and secondly a fee for payment by credit card of $ 20.-+ . To produce an more accurate quote PV has added therefore $ 47.– to Flight centre original quote.

 

Malaysia Airline also offered a fare of $ 963.– for travel on a different date.

 

Jetstar also offered a lower fare of $ 902.– for travel on a different date.

 

Fares obtained from Phil Travel Service where subject to “seats available” on the requested date.

 

Quotes have been rounded up to the nearest $

 

All non direct airlines permitted stop in there perspective hubs but  fares may increase due to additional charges if passenger desires to stop.

Very important “Read the various small prints”  PV noted some online agents excluded the option of  Credit Card charge back  This could be important in case

an airline goes out of business and the passenger is left with useless E tickets or even stranded somewhere overseas.

 

The TCF (Travel Compensation found) does not cover airlines default but PV has not noted that any airline excludes the option of charge back. 

 

PV requested clarification from “VISA” on the subject of charge back but unfortunately no responds received.
