Hotel booking scam. Some agent got fooled

It's a rather blunt trick but seems to work sometimes.

Someone will call or sent email to an travel agent requesting a hotel booking for a small group of people for about one week stay. Arriving in about 6-8 weeks. The total bill could be around let say $ 7000.– The caller or sender of the email most likely will always accept anything what is offered but has a special request because he is not a merchant and can not accept credit cards the sponsor to this event will also pay $ 5-6000 for the groups travel expenses. So the agent is requested to charge the total but sent the additional via Western Union to the caller. Naturally the advised Credit card will be initially approved.

The charge back will come later when the real card holder finds the unusual transaction in his/her credit card statement.
